Sanddorn (Rhamnus frangula L.) ist eine krautige Pflanze aus der Familie der Rhamnaceae. Der in der Phytotherapie verwendete Pflanzenteil ist die Rinde. Die Rinde enth\u00e4lt freie Anthrachinone oder glykosidische Form und einen Brechwirkstoff, der mit der Alterung der Rinde verschwindet. Aus diesem Grund wird empfohlen, gereifte Rinde mindestens ein Jahr lang zu verzehren.
