Dandelion

Dandelion is a herbaceous plant found in almost all temperate countries of the world, where it flowers from February to May. It is also known as dandelion, dandelion, dog's tooth and crazy chicory. This plant is underestimated by many and considered only a weed while, in reality, it has countless beneficial qualities. In fact, its medicinal properties have been known since ancient times so much so that "taraxakos" in Greek means "I heal". The active ingredients are concentrated in the roots and leaves, but the yellow flowers can also be collected and used to prepare infusions or herbal teas. The roots and leaves are rich in bitter principles useful for supporting the work of the liver, one of the organs responsible for detoxifying our body. Dandelion therefore helps to support the liver and gall bladder, also stimulating the work of the kidneys which, through urine, will carry out the substances that are not needed. It is therefore a natural purifying and diuretic remedy. Dandelion is also a good remedy for those with high cholesterol because it helps the liver to eliminate excess fat. This plant also boasts digestive and slightly laxative properties as well as being useful for strengthening the action of our immune system.
